There has been abuzz about the new Google search console tools for quite some time now. Last year Google; the largest search engine decided to revamp its decades' old search console tools by transitioning to new tools slowly throughout 2018.

But, why SEOs are frustrated over new Search Console Tool

Well, there are various reasons why SEO professionals are frustrated over new search Console Tools, mainly because of erroneous reports and incomplete tools. Now, to be able to understand the full spectrum for SEOs frustration with the Google’s new search console, we will have to see the difference between the two consoles and then we will see things that have gone wrong in the new console.

The Old Search Console:

The legacy older version of search console enable users an easy and interactive interface to keep a watchful eye for their website’s search performance report. Apart from offering insightful search performance reports, the old console also offered users easy and quick recognition and correction of technical issues, which helped websites to avoid falling into any major problem.

Moreover, the new console also offers multiple variables being displayed at one time so you don’t have to filter results one at a time. Now, all of these sounds pretty amazing (ask any SEO expert and they will love what we have written so far). However, there have been quite a few problems that have been going on around the new Google search engine console tools and that’s one reason why SEO companies are getting frustrated with these new tools.

So, what are some of the issues faced by SEO companies with a new Google Search Console?

To start off, for some reason, Google decided to go ahead with the new console tools anyway; without getting bugs fixed. And while we are already well into 2019, the new console still carries few broken/incomplete tools.

Many website owners and SEO companies alike have been complaining about faulty/inaccurate product report in search console. Whereas, the new Data Analytics Tools is no way near the older tools, which was a formidable tool and an essential tool for all website owners and SEO companies alike. If you notice all big names don't change their web design and structure but keep enhancing their process to make it more useful and easier for the user's to interact. It's because they invested a lot to identify what work best for them and for the users and not want to lose their users by anyway.
 

Content Creation and Readability

Creating SEO optimized, keyword rich content has been a practice for most of the SEO's off-course it helps you increase your page's relevance and can provide you boost in rankings but again what happens if you achieved higher rankings but see high "bounce rate" on those pages? How will you translate that then? 

 

Oh Man, I forgot to create content according to my user's interest.

And you will notice due to that you are losing ranks on many other pages as well due to high bounce created by 1 particular page that contributed high chunk in average bounce rate of your website. 

So a good design and great content that is written according to your audience's interest help you maintain your bounce rate and other important metrics that google accounts in ranking a web page.

Off-course only this doesn't explain the whole user-experience there is the lot more to improve a website's UX and SEO.

Website performance is another important part of user experience and SEO, higher page load time kills all your efforts like a study conducted by Google says a user will most likely exit a web page if it doesn't respond it 8 seconds. 

Optimizing performance is very very important for any website because Google is not the only one here to decide but it directly involves a user to take the decision. Make sure, your website loads faster by eliminating any render-blocking scripts, optimizing your images and HTML code.

In the year 2013 we noticed rise of search marketing trend in Pakistan. Google announced ever big algorithm updates in 2013 such as Penguin and Hummingbird. And Now we are entered 2014 with lot of new updates and changes in SEO Trends based on the different developments within the industry. We witnessed many Online Business failures due to Google’s new algorithm updates and Bad or we call it Black Hat SEO Techniques. I heard many guys shouting “we were not involved in black hat SEO techniques” May be they are right. I personally analysed few websites that gone down in 2013 just to check what their SEO guys doing with the website. I figured that several guys we just following old spammy ways to get ranking in Google and many were not involved in any black hat SEO Techniques but they were aggressively using few tactics such as forum posting and Blog comments. That’s why they got hit by Penguin update.

However we are now entered in a new era of Search Marketing! I wrote in my previous post that we need to redesign our strategies for 2014 But what they would be? I am not an authority to say a final SEO & Digital Marketing Strategy but I can share what I am planning to maintain my Rankings and to beat other competitors in Google.

Everyone is a witness of emergence of Social media platforms and their popularity such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and Linkedin. Google has also indicated that websites that keep Good Social Media Presence and Popularity will be on their priority.

Authors will get extra respect from Google, in 2012 Google announced Google Authorship Markup. Honestly Google’s Authorship verification program was the great move by Google Even they enforced you to use their Ghost house ๐Ÿ˜› (Google+, Google’s Social Network). Basically they had to choose authorship verification process just to reduce duplicate content. Google rewards verified authors by inserting additional images and links to Search engine results for their previous work. Off-course authors get Higher Click-through rate than ever because of three major factors: Placement, Trustworthiness and Visibility.

Content is King a famous quotation among Search Marketers, Content marketing doesn’t only involved on Search market but It is most valued part in Digital marketing and other channel of marketing as well. Content will remain kind in 2014 for sure but You have to change the way of marketing Only Articles, Blog Posts and Press will not help you in getting Top Rankings in Google. There are many more ways to spread your words! You just need to find best platform to know your audience otherwise you will waste your content.

How to Identify If Google Has Penalized Your Website

Google had Started a Massive Crackdown against Black Hate SEOs. A lot of website owners lost their complete presence from Google or lost their Online business due to loosing Google Ranking.

I can see many Small business owners just said goodbye to  SEO consultants after loosing their online business and started searching for a new SEO consultant who can recover website from Google Penalties.

In these cases I observed that most of the respected business owners contacted me to fix the problem and recover their websites  without adequate knowledge of Google algorithm updates. As you already know in Sept 2013 Google had released at least 5 algorithm updates in which hummingbird is remarkable and biggest Google’s update ever!

I am writing this post for those small business owners who are not aware of Google Penalties or could not get enough time to study Google updates in depth.

  • If you get the message regarding manual penalty so there must be an option to send re-consideration request for your website.
  • The best way to check your Traffic History in Google Analytics Account is that if you had found a massive drop in traffic It is a strong indicator to determine that your website had gotten penalized or had been hit by Google Algorithm.

SEO at Daraz: A challenging Job and a Success Story

It has been 6 months since I Joined Daraz.pk (Pakistan's Leading Online Fashion Store). When I Join Daraz and start my initial analysis for link-builidng strategies, I found there are many guys are there in the Search Market with keeping top position on almost all of our Primary keywords, Well people thinks that Pakistan is low competitive market and its very easy to rank a shopping website for a primary or secondary keywords They are actually RIGHT!

Yes Its become very easy when you start your link-building (Off-Page) strategy with black black-hat SEO Techniques or Illegal SEO Practices. I took a whole month to gather and prepare Search Data, analysis reports. I had figure it out in a week that guys are using black-hat seo techniques to take over each others rankings, But my theory was not enough to brief others and to design a strong strategy to play with those black hated guys :D.

Well I was wondered after completing my analysis as they were saying you need to play with a team that is armed with Spamming Rifles lol

Well I decide to play a fair game with my convential strategies which obviosuly do not include any Black Hat Techniques. In the first phase I put Primary keywords on the target and did nothing except applying ethical search engine optimization techniques and succesfully ranked my targeted keywords on Top positions (no.1 position). And Witnessed many domains getting penalized or getting manual penalties by Google. After that I could not find them in top 50 organic Positions, As you already google has very strict policies against Spammers.

By getting Top postitions on Primary keywords I noticed a drastic change in Organic Traffic and Number of orders and Total Revenue of Daraz.pk

In the second phase I put Categories on my target to increase organic traffic and sales. And Still working with Category page and have increased almost 125% revenue sucessfuly in my six months tenure and looking forward to new goals and challenges.
